FIBS Bot: SnowWhite

SnowWhite was written by Olivier Egger (oegger@lcavsun1.epfl.ch, oegger on FIBS, URL: http://ltswww.epfl. ch/Staff/egger.html) of Switzerland. It plays, or played, one-point matches, unlike its sister, Snowie, which plays up to seven-point matches.

Following its success on FIBS, big sister Snowie has been developed as a standalone program for commercial release (due June 1998 and, as far as I know, for Windows only). On this site, the commercial release is known as "Standalone Snowie". See the official Snowie Web site for more details. This brings to three the number of top-level neural net players converted for standalone operation (the other two being Jellyfish and TD Gammon).
